Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC) Presents: Safety Grants Program 2026
The HIROC Foundation Safety Grants Program was created in 2018 and supports HIROC Subscribers' innovative safety solutions. The program aims to support Subscribers with safety and risk initiatives and provide opportunities to share learnings.
Since 2018, the HIROC Foundation has awarded 135 Grants for a total of $2 million to Subscriber organizations!
All Subscribers are encouraged to apply. Thank you for partnering to turn the corner on patient safety.
What to Expect for 2026
HIROC is pleased to announce the following dates for the 2026 program:
- June 25 – Safety Grants Learning Day 11 AM - 12 PM ET – Registration page
- July 9 – Grants application portal opens
- August 13 – Safety Grants workshop 11 AM - 1 PM ET – Workshop and Q&A registration page
- August 20 - Safety Grants Q&A 11 AM - 1 PM ET – Workshop and Q&A registration page
- September 10 – Grants application portal closes
- December 2026 – Applicants will be notified about their grant submissions
