From Barriers to Breakthroughs: Implementing the ESC Model of Care for Families Affected by Substance Use Disorder

This webinar will offer an updated conceptualization of the Eat Sleep Console (ESC) model of care, drawing on a 2025 scoping review and a mixed-methods study of implementation fidelity. Building on this foundation, we will examine key barriers to address and facilitators to leverage for effective implementation.

Presenter: Dr. Maddie Gallant
Dr. Maddie Gallant is an Assistant Professor at the Acadia Expansion Site at Cape Breton University, and a Perinatal Nurse Consultant with the Reproductive Care Program of Nova Scotia. Her research and clinical practice are embedded within implementation science and integrated knowledge translation. Maddie’s research and clinical practice focus on healthcare innovations and knowledge translation with the goal of creating responsive and meaningful change for perinatal populations.
